No one bashes a stranger in India unless the stranger provokes doing something bad. There is something called ‘law’ in India and most Indians are law abiding citizens. When someone’s livelihood or culture is threatened, then some people may take law into their own hands if they feel that the government is not doing is enough. It is writing on the wall that most Indian students are here not for education but as economic migrants. Aussies wouldn’t mind the migrants, if they are prepared to amalgamate into the local culture, but unfortunately most Indian student don’t. They want Aussies to adopt and admire Indian culture. People threatened by this sort of cultural invasion may resort to physical violence. The same is true in India too.
